There are two cups of rice in this bag, it yields about eight cups of cooked rice. The best basmati rice you will find anywhere.
Rinse 1 cup of rice three times, soak in 2 cups of water for 15 minutes or longer, bring it to boil, lower the heat to medium low, cook for about 15 minutes with cover on, check periodically until no water is left. Optional: add 1 tsp salt, ayurvedic spices as needed and/or 1tsp oil/butter at the start of cooking. You can also add vegetables, etc to rice at the time of boiling.
Preparation of Rice Pudding:
Rinse half cup of rice, Bring to boil four cups of regular milk or two cups of regular milk and two cups of half and half milk, Add one teaspoon full of our Cardamom ayurvedic spice to this boiling milk, Add rinsed rice to this boiling milk, keep boiling for five more minutes, keep stirring it, Reduce the heat to medium low, Must stir it every five minutes, you don't want it to burn on the bottom, Once it thicken, say about three cups, Add sugar to it, say 3/4 cup or to your taste, Garnish it with chopped nuts of your liking, say almonds,cashews, Pistachios, raisins, etc. No walnuts or peanuts
