Basmati Rice

Cooking Instructions:

Ingredients: 1 cup Basmati Rice, 2 cups Water, 1 tsp Salt*, 1 tsp Butter/Oil*

Wash the rice three times and drain the water; Soak the rice in 2 cups of water; set it aside for 15 minutes or more; start cooking the soaked rice at high heat to bring the water to boil; once the water start boiling, add salt and/or butter/oil, lower the heat to medium low; cover the pot (make sure water is not overflowing from the pot while cooking); keep an eye on it; it should take about 15 minutes to completely cook the rice (make sure water is completely dry); use a fork to check the rice. It yields about 3-4 cups of cooked rice.
